Ten Pebbles for tenWord- dVerse

Hubris, suffice to say wandering how
I’m going to pick up my ten
Precious pebbles to complete the puzzle
But here I am with ten stones in my palm

˜ ˜ ˜
Into the dim lit, bare walls of my world,
Of wit and charm, of personality,
with tender care, you entered
and added comfort, love,
warmth, and meaning to my life

˜ ˜ ˜
If you ever felt I forgot and didn’t care about you
Please let me pulse right here
To share my gratitude; thanks for being the friend you’re

˜ ˜ ˜
Give value to my opinionated tongue
And I will sincerely return the goodwill
Let’s share burdens for peace of mind
For love bridges

˜ ˜ ˜

When the ink runs out
I will end my nine lessons
Plus one carol, all bottled up to ten

˜ ˜ ˜
Too many needless pain have prinked me
No further will I go
I will return dissolved in my tears tomorrow,
If I’m not able to find my pieces today!

˜ ˜ ˜
Petit-a-petit the times will be right again
But in the interim; I’ll be here for you
Should you need someone to lean on
Let me be your friend anchor

˜ ˜ ˜
For day and night, I lay awake in my thoughts
sighing your missing touches of love
I wait upon your return so u could cure me
from acute reminiscing

˜ ˜ ˜
Dear 2015 resolution, kindly note that
I have more work to do; hard work
frighten work, uncertain work and unending work
Please tighten your belt for me; my happiness depends on u!

˜ ˜ ˜
Hey, you there, I wish u the jingly jolly
joys of this new year’s breeze;
says, my fin prickle last pebble!

  1. nice verse….think you missed the point of the exercise….which is to write a verse that is only 10 words long…
you can link tenword verses, but really it is on creating the micro-verse….you have a few lines that would qualify and i think you could cut these down to fit the prompt…
