In want – of a God given marriage 💍

Worth Reblogging

Who would like to be married? I believe this is something we grew up with as little girls – the perfect marriage with a prince that would save us. It might be because of all the Disney cartoons we watched or because this is what we were told to dream.

Don’t get me wrong there is nothing bad with wanting to be married and calling your husband your prince (KING 😊) the wrong is in the placing marriage – or your husband above God and making it your idol.

Exodus 20:3 (KJV) Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Luke 10:27 (KJV) And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

MY ROOTS, MY BIRTHMARK

PhotoGrid_1486799674870.png

I am a black color skin girl with roots from Africa

I am a proud Negro; a distinct that traces my bloodline

Never will I ever be disloyal to my pedigrees;

cos my root is my birthmark.

BLINDLY

Family is like the twigs of a tree

We all grow in different directions

Yet our roots remain same

Oh family, to you I blindly seek for thy love

And search for unclear bearings and affection

Meeting Today’s prompt “Blindly

DENIAL

I never belong there

They didn’t want me there at all

It was too apparent;

so I plodded out

And now,

you intend to help?

But how? And why is that?

You’re too late, way too dawn

Worry not; I will do well wherever I may find myself

Thank you, really……for the disowning.

CHAMPIONS

So how do they do it?

They seem to demonstrate the wildest audacity

Conquer adversity

Always win first

They are ardent protectors, attackers, owners,

defenders, invaders, chancers, showoffs, rulers

Challengers, fighters, risk-takers, goal-getters, titleholders

gamers, disciplinarians, competitors, believers, achievers

and leaders of all specs

Champs, is what I love to call them.

They can set the world ablaze if care is not taken

CUSP OF SUCCESS

May my victory never frown on uncovering

achievements of lousiness

And if I dare to logjam tendons for winter;

may willpower pursue me

Not for once should I feel like my dream is on a cusp of luck;

evenhandedly waiting for my apparition to align

May I never miss my paces on the cusp of genuine success

Rather, succumb to hard work
