Evoke

Today’s prompt is on Evoke and so I thought of sharing a poem written by Sara VanderMeer. Came across it two months ago and it invoked my writing passion. Take a read, I know you will be inspired too.

Evoke emotion, make me cry

Anything to make me respond

For I’m comatose

With a yearning to feel, to move

Evoke inspiration, make me feel

Anything to have me write

To writhe with inspired words

Pouring from my mind, unto paper

Evoke love, make me stupid

Anything to make me fall

Passion flowing through these veins

A snake of deceit and contentment

Evoke in me anything

Response, feeling, falling, coldness

Make me human

Before this animal takes over.

NB: These words are not my words. It was written by Sara VanderMeer on July, 2011.

CHECKING OUT OF 2017

Twelve golden days more to check out from the magnanimous 2017

what a great benevolent year it has been

a year of Love

a year of Peace

A year full of goodies

if beauty has a calendar, it’d be the tw’lve  months of 2017

each of these months though popping through dark ugly times

came with sunny vibes

Aah 2018, don’t be scared

I’m only telling you how much 2017 mean to me

and how exclusive this year has been for me

I hope you shine a little brighter when you finally Chrome.

Ah! Look.

My Mind mill...

shutterstock_51348808_broken_windshield_620px.jpgWe did not make vows
nor beak rules
We just were

I was the strong one;
(that’s an irony, guys)

That is how we
chose our roles
That is what we
told our friends.

We did not make vows
nor break rules

Instead, we tore
things to irreparable
damages

We did not make vows
We ditched the rules
and now….arrrgh!

Look! Look what
we made us do
instead.
Pfft!
